Malaysia
It is common knowledge that Malaysia is a popular tourist destination amongst many Singaporeans due to the proximity between both countries and the stronger Singapore Dollar. I have visited Malaysia (Johor Bahru) several times with family and friends for shopping and dining experiences. I haven't explored the deeper parts of Malaysia yet, so the photos below will be limited to my experiences in JB. Nonetheless, I will update this page in the future should I travel to other regions of Malaysia.
Generally speaking, Malaysia (Johor Bahru) has a wide variety of good yet affordable food. So, if you are a foodie, you will be in for a treat if you come to Malaysia (JB). Don't forget to cafe-hop in Malaysia as there are many unique and interesting cafes around the country, especially in JB!
Besides food, Malaysia is well known for its beautiful islands and beaches, where the adventurous can do activities like snorkeling and scuba-diving. I would certainly want to visit Malaysia one day to snorkel on some of its famous islands like Pulau Tioman and Redang Island, but till that day comes, enjoy a sneak peek of what Malaysia offers through my photos! :)
Update: In Oct 2024, I went on a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - sponsored by GitHub Education. For more information, please refer to the link here: https://githubcampus.expert/melvincwng/Speaking-at-GitHub-Field-Day-2024/
